The overriding consideration is this question: <br />What does this proposed ordinance protect against that our <br />existing local ordinances and State laws do not cover? or <br />cannot cover? If certain minor amendments are necessary to <br />our local development ordinances, then those should be made <br />on their merit. <br />2. Costs. Implementing the ordinance will impose costs on <br />the County.for professional staff and costs on property <br />owners (which will be passed on to citizens) both for <br />preparing the statements and because of the delays built into <br />the process.
