Tryon Street LJLI <br />Hillsborough, North Carolina <br />7 :00 — 9:00 P.M. <br />Present: Pat Davis, Guido De Maere, Ed Holland, Dolly Hunter, Joan <br />Jobsis, Ed Siebert, Phillip Whitaker <br />Absent: Chris Best, Kevin Goodwin, William Hutchins, Michael Jolly, <br />David Liner, Leigh Peek, Gary Saleeby, Lamar Willis <br />I. Introduction. Pat Davis started the meeting by introducing Gene <br />Bell, head of Comprehensive Planning for Orange County Planning <br />Department. He was at the Infrastructure Committee Meeting in order to <br />give an update of the Orange County Thoroughfare Plan before it goes to <br />Public hearing. <br />Gene started out by talking about the Transportation Advisory <br />Subcommittee (TAS) which has been working four and a half years on <br />transportation issues in Orange County. There has been a special <br />Public hearing called for Wednesday, May 16, at 7 :00 P.M. at the <br />Superior Courtroom in Hillsborough to consider 5 items. <br />1) The County portion of the Hillsborough Thoroughfare Plan, <br />2) The County portion of the Durham /Chapel Hill /Carrboro . <br />Thoroughfare Plan, <br />3) The Orange County road classification system, <br />4) Amendments to Article 13 of Zoning Ordinance: the <br />Transportation Impact Study Provision, and <br />5) Changes to the private road standards for Orange County <br />Page 1 <br />
