Dr in <br />Ditches shall be constructed to provide drainage from the road and adjacent areas. <br />The ditches shall be built with sufficient depth to carry the expected volume, of water. <br />The side slopes shall be graded so that they can be stabilized and to prevent vehicles <br />from becoming stuck if they slide into the ditch. <br />Where the road crosses streams or minor watercourses, culverts shall be installed to <br />prevent ponding and washouts of the road f o[ the five-year design storm. On streams <br />where it is not economical to install a large culvert of the required size, the Erosion <br />Control Officer may allow the installation of a smaller culvert if provisions are made <br />to protect the road surface and fill slopes from erosion when runoff tops the road. <br />[] = delete text 30 <br />1o1 = add text <br />
