Dedication - A gift, by the owner, of his <br />property to another party without any consideration <br />being given for the transfer. It simply <br />constitutes an obligation to keep property free <br />from development for a stated period of time. <br />Design Standards <br />I. Streets and Roads: <br />The design of all streets and roads within Orange County <br />shall be in accordance with the accepted policies of the <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation, Division of <br />Highways, as taken or modified from the American Association <br />of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) <br />manuals. <br />The provision of street rights -of -way shall conform and <br />meet the requirements of the thoroughfare plan for Orange <br />County as adopted by the local bodies and the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation. <br />The proposed street layout shall be coordinated with the <br />existing street s$ hauldobe the <br />thesextensiongofrexistingmstre the <br />ets <br />proposed streets <br />if possible. <br />The urban planning area shall consist of that area <br />within the urban planning boundary as depicted on the <br />mutually adopted Orange County nara outside the urban planning <br />Thoroughfare pl <br />planning area shall be that <br />boundary. <br />A.
