Iy -B -2 -e Resource Protection <br />The proposal shall be evaluated by the Planning Board <br />for potential impairment of habitat of rare and <br />endangered species or unique natural areas. A <br />strate shall be developed to protect resources <br />or identified in "An inventory of Sites of cultural <br />storic Recreational Biolo ical and Geological <br />Significance in the Unincornarated Portions of Orange <br />County" or "Inventory of the Natural Areas and <br />Wildlife Habitats of Orange-County, North Carolina ". <br />The strategy shall provide 2rotection of identified <br />natural and man -made resources from impacts which <br />could esult from development of the subdivision and <br />shall include one or more of the followin <br />dedication of conservation easements <br />b restrictive covenants nrohibiting clearin <br />or disturbance of the resource areas <br />c dedication of resource areas to Orance Count <br />d Clustering of lots to minimize land disturbance <br />and preserve the special features of the 1property <br />e Other restrictions or develonment options which <br />ovide an adecruate level of protection. <br />The-Planning Staff shall review <br />documentation of the particular <br />the proposed strategy adequatel <br />identified resources. <br />Maps, studies, and reports which <br />section will be maintained by the <br />available <br />site and determine if <br />rotects the <br />are relevant to this <br />Planning Department. <br />42 <br />
