40 <br />SECTION III APPLICATION AND APPROVAL PROCEDURES <br />III -D APPROVAL PROCEDURES FOR MAJOR SUBDIVISIONS <br />III -D -2. Preliminary Plat Approval <br />III- D -2 -a. Avnlication Requirements <br />For every subdivision within the territorial jurisdiction <br />established by Section I of this Ordinance, and which does <br />not qualify for minor subdivision approval procedures, the <br />subdivider shall submit a Preliminary-Plat-which shall be <br />reviewed by the Planning Board and approved by the <br />Board of Commissioners before any site disturbance, <br />construction or installation of improvements may begin. <br />Applications for major subdivision Preliminary Plat approval <br />shall be filed with the Planning Department -and shall-contain <br />the following information:. <br />7 A statement describing the methods proposed to rotect <br />environmental resources identified in "An Inventory of- - <br />Sites of Cultural Historic Recreational Biolocical - -­ <br />and Geological Significance in the Unincornorated <br />Portion of Orange County" and "Inventor of the Natural <br />Areas and Wildlife Habitats of orange Count North - <br />Carolina ". <br />
