Attachment # 10 <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES FOR <br />GRANTING PERMITS ALLowiNG THE USE OF <br />TEMPORARY ELECTRIC POWER CONNECTION <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is concerned for the <br />safety and welfare of the citizens of Orange County and for the <br />safety of buildings within the County's jurisdiction, and desires <br />to enact an ordinance regulating temporary electric power in orange <br />County, pursuant to N.C.G.S. 55153A -122 and -352; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />OF ORANGE COUNTY as follows: <br />ARTICLE I - Definitions and Intent <br />Sec. 1. Definitions. Unless otherwise specifically provided or <br />clearly required by the context, the following words and phrases <br />shall have the indicated meaning when used in this ordinance: <br />(a) building: any structure or improvement to real estate <br />intended for dwelling, storage or occupancy of any sort; or any <br />structure or improvement to real estate, the construction of which <br />requires a building permit pursuant to N.C.G.S. 51S3A..:357 <br />(b) County: Orange County <br />(c) Department: the Orange County Planning and Inspections <br />Department <br />(d) Director: the Director of the Orange County Planning and <br />Inspections Department. <br />04 <br />37 <br />
