Attachment # 5 <br />Name of Citizen Date <br />Address of Citizen <br />City, State, Zip Code <br />Dear <br />The Orange County Planning and Inspections Department is undertaking many initiatives <br />to improve efficiency within the Department in order that we may provide better service to <br />Orange County citizens. One component of this effort is the updating of our building permit <br />files. <br />This process involves separating "active' files from "inactive" files. Files labeled "inactive" <br />are those which: <br />1) have not received final inspections. <br />2) have gone beyond the six month period of time in which the applicant must <br />show proof that work has begun on project. <br />3) have gone beyond the twelve month period of time in which the applicant must <br />show proof of continued work on the project. <br />~ Your permit file .number was labeled inactive because of the <br />following- <br />Expired <br />g <br />due to apparent lack of activity. <br />Did not receive all required inspections. <br />Building <br />Plumbine <br />Electrical <br />Mechanical <br />Other <br />The Planning and Inspections Department is attempting to close out all inactive files with <br />as little inconvenience to the applicant as possible. We are therefore creating a program which <br />will allow an inspector to review your site free of any inspection charge. You will only be <br />charged what is necessary to complete the work. <br />
