h <br />PROCEDURAL <br />ACTION PLANNING AMBASSADOR <br />BRIEF DESCRIPTION /PURPOSE <br />The Planning Ambassador program was established to accomplish the following: 1) To have <br />a Current Planner available to anyone who walks into the of fice or calls with general questions, <br />and, 2) To allow other Current Planners time to work on specific projects without being <br />interrupted. All Current Planners have days assigned each month to act as the Ambassador. <br />STATESS, <br />The Planning Ambassador program has been ongoing since January of 1990. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Attachment # 1 - Program description and schedule for January, 1990. <br />ACTION 2 WEEKLY MEETINGS WITH COUNTY ATTORNEY <br />BRIEF DESCRIPTION /PURPOSE <br />On Tuesdays from 2 :30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Current Planners meet with the County Attorney <br />to discuss legal documents submitted for review and other items that need discussion or <br />clarification. Planners felt that a specific meeting time was needed because it was often <br />difficult for Planners and County Attorney to touch base. <br />STATUS <br />The first meeting between Planners and County Attorney was Tuesday, December. 12, 1989. <br />The program has been ongoing since that time. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />Attachment # 2 - December 12 Meeting Agenda <br />Attachment # 3 - Request for County Attorney Review (form) <br />ACTION 3 24 HOUR PERMIT SYSTEM <br />BRIEF DESCRIPTION /PURPOSE <br />The 24 - Hour Permit System is designed to pre -empt any anticipated problems that applicants <br />may have with their building projects. This is accomplished by having the applicant fill out <br />an, application form for the project and submitting that form to all applicable staff <br />(Inspections, Erosion Control, Information Services, Current Planning, Health Department) <br />before a building permit is issued. This alleviates applicants' running into problems with State <br />and Local codes after their projects have been started. <br />1 <br />
