.P <br />A <br />PREFACE <br />The following is a breakdown of actions taken by the Planning and Inspections Department since the <br />initiation, in September of 1989, of a program to improve public relations and the dissemination of information. <br />Specific actions are divided into three major categories which include Procedure, Policy, and Physical. <br />Procedural changes include those that encourage more internal efficiency and improve the flow of project <br />applications through the approval process. Policy changes are those identified by staff as unnecessary or needing <br />improvement, etc. Physical changes are changes in or enhancements to the building/offices which will result in <br />a more inviting atmosphere and will encourage productivity. Each category includes a description of specific <br />actions to be taken, a statement of purpose, the status, and the number and description of the attachment if <br />applicable. <br />
