The <br />primary goal is to streamline the day -to -day operation <br />of the department to provide: <br />1) better service <br />2) time devoted to major issues and long -term planning. <br />The staff began with six major objectives which <br />included: <br />1) Improved Communications <br />2) Central Reception Area <br />3) Simplification of Correspondence <br />4) Planning Ambassador <br />5) Public Relations Training <br />6) Simplification of regulations. <br />Based on these objectives, staff has been <br />meeting frequently and working collectively to identify <br />ways of achieving the objectives. <br />RECOMMENDATION: To receive report and offer comments and suggestions. <br />1 <br />
