+ e <br />CA <br />3 <br />b) Proclaim the second Wednesday of November as "Human <br />Rights Day" in Orange County and sponsor a county -wide <br />celebration (estimated cost - $500.00). <br />c) Provide the Human Relations Commission with an <br />expense fund to allow two members to travel to other <br />counties, meet with other commissions and learn from <br />their experiences. (estimated cost $500.00). <br />PHASE II - Fall, 1990 <br />1) Receive a progress report from the Human Relations <br />Commission's Ordinance committee on the development of <br />a human rights ordnance. <br />2) Receive preliminary findings from Human Relations <br />Commission's task force to investigate family courts. <br />3) Send a representative of the county commissioners to <br />meet with the HRC, and representatives of the state <br />house and senate to discuss strategy for presenting the <br />human rights ordinance to the state legislature for <br />enabling legislation. <br />PHASE III - Spring, 1991 <br />1) Receive annual report from Orange County Human <br />Relations Commission, containing the final draft of <br />proposed Human Rights Ordinance. <br />2) Request enabling legislation from the state to enact <br />the proposed ordinance. <br />3) Receive statistical reporting and recommendations from <br />the HRC task force investigating the family courts. <br />4) Receive initial report from HRC and executive director <br />of the new Human Rights Office to evaluate needs of the <br />office for fiscal 1991 -1992. <br />
