N. C. <br />27278 <br />STATEMENT TO THE N.C. BOARD OF TRANSPORTATION <br />MAY 8, 1990 <br />There are numerous transportation improvement needs in <br />Orange County. The County is one of the fastest growing <br />counties and the impacts of this growth are resulting in <br />severe deficiencies in our transportation network. <br />To address these deficiencies, orange County requests <br />that specific projects be included in the Transportation <br />Improvement Program. The projects include those listed in <br />each of the attached requests from the County's local <br />governments. The Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />endorses those requests and respectfully asks--that each of <br />the projects be included in thes1990 Transportation <br />Improvement Program. m= = - -- v <br />p widening o <br />To complement the requested wa:d f US,15 -501 south <br />of Chapel Hill.- to the ;, Chatham ._ line,,,, the County <br />Commissioners support the: proposed connector from,US 15 -501 <br />in Chatham County to I -40 in_ Durham County...
