1 <br />' 2/19/90 <br />Career Status III <br />' <br />(Application) <br />An Orange County employee with a minimum of eight years teaching <br />experience, including three years at Career Status II, may apply for <br />' <br />Career Status III. The employee will be formally observed a <br />minimum of three times; one of these will be announced and two will <br />be unannounced. These observations will be done by the principal or <br />' <br />his designee and a trained Evaluator. A consensus summative will be <br />required. The performance of the employee will be one rating at 6; <br />six at 5 or 6, one at 4 or above (at least one 6 must be in function <br />' <br />areas 1 -5) as defined in the Teacher Performance Appraisal <br />Instrument. <br />Career Status Ill <br />(Maintenance) <br />To maintain Career Status Ill an employee has the option of a <br />' <br />consensus summative or will have no observations the first year. In <br />the second year an employee will have an option of a consensus <br />* <br />summative or one announced or unannounced observation as outlined <br />in the waiver. In the third year an employee will have three <br />observations consisting of at least one unannounced observation. <br />These observations will be done by the principal or his designee and a <br />' <br />trained Evaluator. A consensus summative will be required in the <br />third year.
