I think that <br /> Asheville has struggled with growth, however, continues to succeed. I think Orange County and <br /> Hillsborough have a unique opportunity to grow in a very special way. The areas proximity to the <br /> Triangle and it s agricultural background could really make it a unique community for not only <br /> NC but the Southeast region. <br /> What do you see as the responsibilities of this board, and what do you hope to <br /> accomplish if appointed? <br /> I think it s responsibility is to not only serve the citizens of Orange County but also act as a <br /> reasonable and impartial arbiter of private growth. The planning process can be a tedious one <br /> but one with significant impact. What I would hope to accomplish would be to more fully <br /> understand the community and continue to help it grow. <br /> What do you consider to be be the most important issues facing Orange County related <br /> to growth? <br />
