The Orange County Emergency Services Department has received additional grant <br /> funds totaling $107,814 from the N.C. Department of Crime Control and Public Safety <br /> related to the 2015 and 2016 Emergency Management Performance Grant awards. <br /> The department plans to use these funds to assist in maintaining the comprehensive <br /> Emergency Management Program. The Orange County Sheriff's Office has received notification of reimbursable grant <br /> funds not to exceed $22,800 from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the use of <br /> U. S. Department of Justice's Assets Forfeiture Funds for one-time equipment <br /> purchases for the Sheriff's Office. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of <br /> this grant award and the reimbursable grant funds.
