4 <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this item. <br /> Emergency Management <br /> 8. The Orange County Emergency Services Department has received additional grant <br /> funds totaling $107,814 from the N.C. Department of Crime Control and Public Safety <br /> related to the 2015 and 2016 Emergency Management Performance Grant awards. <br /> The department plans to use these funds to assist in maintaining the comprehensive <br /> Emergency Management Program. This budget amendment provides for the receipt <br /> of these grant funds, and amends the following grant project ordinance: (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 8) <br /> Emergency Management Performance Grant($107,814) - Project# 71049 <br /> Revenues for this project: <br /> Current FY 2017-18 FY 2017-18 <br /> FY 2017-18 Amendment Revised <br /> EM Performance Grant Funds $181,100 $107,814 $288,914 <br /> Total Project Funding $181,100 $107,814 $288,914 <br /> Appropriated for this project: <br /> Current FY FY 2017-18 FY 2017-18 <br /> 2017-18 Amendment Revised <br /> EM Performance Grant $181,100 $107,814 $288,914 <br /> Total Costs $181,100 $107,814 $288,914 <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> Sheriff's Office <br /> 9. The Orange County Sheriff's Office has received notification of reimbursable grant <br /> funds not to exceed $22,800 from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the use of <br /> U. S. Department of Justice's Assets Forfeiture Funds for one-time equipment <br /> purchases for the Sheriff's Office. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of <br /> this grant award and the reimbursable grant funds.
