8 <br /> 1 Thom Freeman said the Adult Care and Nursing Home Care boards have a training <br /> 2 period that must be completed prior to being recommended for appointment to the board. He <br /> 3 said the state made this change recently. He said the training period does not count towards <br /> 4 the term. <br /> 5 Commissioner Marcoplos said if changes were made to 2-year or 3-year terms, then a <br /> 6 change would need to be made to the 2-year minimum as well. <br /> 7 Chair Dorosin said the BOCC needs to decide if consistency is desired, and, if so, what <br /> 8 that consistency should be. <br /> 9 Commissioner McKee cautioned against terms that are too short due to the steep <br /> 10 learning curve that comes with some boards. <br /> 11 Thom Freeman said the majority of the advisory boards have two 3-year terms for <br /> 12 appointees. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 3. He knows this is an ongoing <br /> 35 conversation, but wondered if there has been any movement. <br /> 36 Bonnie Hammersley said an email was sent to the Managers of the non-contributing <br /> 37 municipalities, and the response indicated a willingness to talk about it.
