23 <br /> 1 A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Marcoplos to <br /> 2 approve Item m. <br /> 3 <br /> 4 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Commissioner Jacobs said he made a mistake by removing Item m, and was actually <br /> 7 Item n that he wanted to remove, but Item n has now already been approved. He shared his <br /> 8 comments on Item n: <br /> 9 <br /> 10 n. Amendment Outline Form and Schedule — Expansion of Hillsborough Area Economic <br /> 11 Development District <br /> 12 The Board considered initiating amendments to the Town of Hillsborough/Orange County <br /> 13 Central Orange Coordinated Area Land Use Plan, the Orange County Comprehensive Plan <br /> 14 Future Land Use Map, and the Orange County Zoning Atlas. These amendments would define <br /> 15 the allowable land uses in the recently expanded portion of the Hillsborough Economic <br /> 16 Development District, south of Interstate 40 in the vicinity of Old Highway 86. These items are <br /> 17 planned for Board consideration at the November 2017 BOCC Quarterly Public Hearing. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Commissioner Jacobs said there was a public conversation about this, and putting it in <br /> 20 the consent agenda now slips it past the public. He said the land use planning should be clear <br /> 21 and in the open, as the BOCC has no intention of pulling anything over on the public. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Burroughs to <br /> 25 initiate amendments to the Town of Hillsborough/Orange County Central Orange Coordinated <br /> 26 Area Land Use Plan, the Orange County Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map, and the <br /> 27 Orange County Zoning Atlas. These amendments would define the allowable land uses in the <br /> 28 recently expanded portion of the Hillsborough Economic Development District, south of <br /> 29 Interstate 40 in the vicinity of Old Highway 86. Expansion of the Hours During Which Alcohol May be Sold on Sundays <br /> 35 The Board considered approving a resolution authorizing the sale of alcohol beginning at 10:00 <br /> 36 a.m. on Sundays. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Commissioner Rich said she wanted to acknowledge this item, noting the County's <br /> 39 approval of restaurants and package stores, while Chapel Hill only approved restaurants. <br /> 40 <br /> 41 <br /> 42 A motion was made by Commissioner Rich, seconded by to Commissioner Price to <br /> 43 approve a resolution authorizing the sale of alcohol beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 46 <br /> 47 r. Performance Agreement Between the Town of Chapel Hill and Visitors Bureau <br /> 48 The Board considered approving the 2017-18 performance agreement between the Town of <br /> 49 Chapel Hill and the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau. <br /> 50 <br />
