The outcomes of these <br />cases are extremely important as children's adoptions and permanent placements are often in <br />jeopardy during the appeals. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Social Services estimates that $135,000 will be spent on legal fees <br />during next year's budget. Approximately half of this cost will be paid by state and federal <br />revenues. <br />2 <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board accept the Social <br />Services Board recommendation to approve the renewal contract for legal representation with <br />Northen Blue, LLP, for Fiscal Year 2006-2007 and authorize the Chair to sign. <br />
