The recommendation is to notify EMB and GCA of their selection and let them prepare for <br /> the summer work. Since the district's 2017-18 operating budget has not been finalized, the <br /> Board is asked to accept the base bids at this time. After the district's 2017-18 operating <br /> budget has been approved, a determination can be made regarding the living wage alternate. <br /> Finally, in order to provide additional comparative information, Attachment D also includes a <br /> cost to provide evening cleaning with district employees. The district staff estimate was <br /> developed using the DPI custodial staffing formula that takes into consideration building size <br /> and the number of professional staff and student enrollment.
