Minutes <br /> 12 The Board approved the minutes from April 6 and 18, 2017 as submitted by the Clerk to the <br /> 13 Board. <br /> 14 b. Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> 15 The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release motor vehicle <br /> 16 property tax values for three taxpayers with a total of three bills that will result in a reduction of <br /> 17 revenue, in accordance with NCGS. <br /> 18 c. Contract with New River Tire Recycling - Load, Transport, and Recycle or Dispose <br /> 19 of Scrap Tires <br /> 20 The Board approved a contract with New River Tire Recycling, LLC of Pilot Mountain, North <br /> 21 Carolina for the Loading, Transporting, and Recycling or Disposal of Scrap Tires and authorized <br /> 22 the Manager to execute the contract. <br /> 23 d. Contract Extension for Household Hazardous Waste Collection - Clean Harbors <br /> 24 Environmental Services <br /> 25 The Board approved an extension of the contract with Clean Harbors Environmental Services, a <br /> 26 Massachusetts corporation, for the collection, processing and disposal of Household Hazardous <br /> 27 Wastes and authorized the Manager to execute the contract. <br /> 28 e. Adoption of the NC Fire Code Inspection Schedule <br /> 29 The Board approved a revision to the County's fire code inspection schedule in order to comply <br /> 30 with Section 106— Inspections. <br /> 31 f. Change in BOCC Regular Meeting Schedule for 2017 <br /> 32 The Board changed to the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar for 2017 to add a <br /> 33 closed session on Monday, May 22, 2017 for staff evaluations. <br /> 34 g. Two-Thirds General Obligation Bonds <br /> 35 The Board adopted a preliminary resolution, which is incorporated by reference, for the <br /> 36 issuance of $5.9 million in two-thirds General Obligation Bonds to support both school systems <br /> 37 capital requirements for renovation and improvement of school facilities, with the two-thirds <br /> 38 bond proceeds replacing the General Fund pay-as-you go funding for both school districts' <br /> 39 renovations and facility improvements in FY 2017-18. <br /> 40 h. Agreement with Flinchum Sales Tax Consulting for Sales Tax Refunds <br /> 41 The Board entered into an agreement with Flinchum Sales Tax Consulting to determine if the <br /> 42 County is due additional sales tax refunds from the North Carolina Department of Revenue <br /> 43 (NCDOR) and authorized the Manager to sign. <br /> 44 j. Unified Development Ordinance Amendment Outline and Schedule — Clarification <br /> 45 of Recently Approved Subdivision Regulations <br /> 46 The Board approved process components and schedules for a staff initiated Unified <br /> 47 Development Ordinance (UDO) text amendment. <br /> 48 k. Resolution to Endorse Orange County's Draft Transportation Project Lists for the <br /> 49 Burlington-Graham and Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning <br /> 50 Organizations and the Triangle Area Rural Planning Organization (2020-2029) <br />
