ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: June 27, 2006 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. 5-rj--a <br />SUBJECT: Boards County Commissioners Serve On <br />DEPARTMENT: Board of Commissioners PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N) No <br />ATTACHMENT(S): Under Separate Cover <br />Excerpts from Minutes 2/21/06 and 3/21/2006 <br />Comprehensive Listing of Boards/Commissions <br />Individual Listing of Boards/Commissions <br />Volunteer Resolution <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Clerk's Office, 245-2130 <br />PURPOSE: To consider the list of boards and commissions on which the Board of County <br />Commissioners members serve and select those boards on which the BOCC wishes to continue serving. <br />BACKGROUND: BOCC members serve on various County and County-related boards and <br />commissioners, Yearly, BOCC members indicate their desire to continue serving on specific boards or <br />commissions or their desire to make changes. <br />This matter was first brought before the BOCC on February 215' where the BOCC approved changes in <br />the language of the Volunteer Resolution concerning County Commissioners serving as alternates on <br />boards and commissions, Also, on February 2151, it was asked that the Clerk's Office bring back at a <br />later date the BOCC listing of Boards and Commissions with all completed or defunct boards removed. <br />The Clerk's Office brought the proposed changes back before the BOCC on March 215' where the item <br />was deferred, <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board review the list of boards and <br />commissions and discuss any changes it may desire. <br />
