<br />ORANGE COi1NTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR CONGRESSMAN DAVID PRICE TO <br />SUPPORT U.S. HOUSE RESOLUTION 6.35 <br />WHEREAS, George W. Bush has committed high crimes and misdemeanors as he has <br />repeatedly violated the United States Constitution and other laws of the United <br />States, particularly the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act and the Torture <br />Convention, which under Article V I of the constitution is a treaty as part of the <br />supreme law of the land; and <br />WHEREAS, Congressman David Price, upon taking the oath of office to the United States <br />Congress, swore to preserve and defend the Constitution of the United States; and <br />WHEREAS, The members of the Orange County Board of Commissioners, upon taking the oath <br />of offce, each swore to preserve and defend the Constitution of the United States; <br />and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the members of the Orange County Board of Commissioners in order to <br />uphold their oath to defend the Constitution of the United States ask Congressman <br />David Price to act by supporting House Bill 635, which will create a special <br />committee of the United States Congr°ess to investigate whether die President's <br />misconduct rises to the level of impeachment and to amend the bill to include the <br />Vice President, Richard "Dick" Cheney. <br />This the 27"' day of June 2006. <br />Barry Jacobs -Chair <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />
