A volunteer workgroup focused on advocacy for outdoor spaces is formed and facilitated by <br /> OCDOA. <br /> RESPONSIBLE AGENCIES:Advisory Board on Aging, OCDOA <br /> 2 �a e, y. .1.4 Increase awareness on the part of older adults about design/planning standards <br /> and guidelines relative to outdoor spaces and public buildings. <br /> INDICATORS <br /> 1.1.4a. Suggestion boxes are located in natural areas to solicit feedback from the public. <br /> 1.2.1b. Use of outdoor spaces by older adults is encouraged through special events organized by <br /> and/or for older adults. <br /> 1.2.1c. Lighting in public parks and walking trails is improved so that older adults feel safe using them. <br /> 1.2.1d. Park informational brochures are available at the Seymour and Passmore Centers. <br /> 1.2.1e.A different park is highlighted every month on the OCDOA website and in the Senior Times. <br /> 1.2.1f. Senior center staff members are trained on teaching community members how to use the <br /> interactive locator map. <br /> 1.2.1g.
