70 <br /> SCS ENGINEERS <br /> Landfill Engineering and Groundwater Services <br /> Design, Permitting and Field Engineering <br /> Prince William County, VA <br /> Client SCS has been providing comprehensive landfill engineering <br /> Prince William County services to Prince William County for well over 20 years. These <br /> Department of Public Works services range from feasibility studies to design, permitting, gas <br /> and groundwater monitoring, construction oversight, and field <br /> Contact maintenance/repair work. We recently provided Part A <br /> 703.792.6252 Permit Amendment services to modify the facility boundary due <br /> Sadhu S. Sandhu <br /> 703.792.6265 to changes in property limits. Part B Amendment efforts included <br /> a 115-acre expansion at the existing Sanitary Landfill site. This <br /> Contract Amount effort included HELP and Multimed modeling of an Alternative <br /> > $1,000,000 in past 2 years Bottom Liner(ABL)to reduce construction costs. The ABL was <br /> permitted and consists of two layers of 60-mil HDPE <br /> Dates geomembranes with a geocomposite clay(GCL)layer in <br /> 1994 to 2005 between. Landfill phasing plans were also included in the permit <br /> Key Personnel application. <br /> Paul Mandeville, PE Construction Bid Documents. We prepared construction design <br /> Bob Isenberg, PE, CPG plans, specifications and bid documents for three cells, covering <br /> Denise Wessels, PE nearly 25 acres that utilized an ABL, as well as overfills on the <br /> existing landfill, collection pipes at the cell bottom along with <br /> perimeter HDPE leachate collection manholes, and a leachate <br /> pump station. <br /> 111111141111i Construction Engineering was provided during construction of <br /> Phase I, Parts 2, 3 and 4, and Phase II, Cell A This work included <br /> bid assistance, contract addenda, bid review, recommendations <br /> M regarding award, review of contractor submittals, resident <br /> -3W . Since a decade ago when four Little <br /> League baseball fields and associated features were built over the <br /> ii0 landfil l footprint, on-going and significant differential settlement <br /> has resulted in drainage problems, ponding of water, and distress <br /> and distortion to the dugouts, fences and scoreboards and other <br /> site features.
