The County's solid waste <br /> management program includes a construction and demolition <br /> Contact (C&D) landfill located on-top of a closed non-Subtitle D <br /> Mark Tye municipal solid waste (MSW) landfill, MSW Transfer Station, <br /> Assistant Public Works Director an extensive recycling program and six (6) residential solid <br /> 704.296.4215 waste and recyclables drop-off convenience centers. As part of the PTO a <br /> ✓Solid Waste Management new Operations Plan was <br /> Planning prepared and training of staff <br /> ✓Landfill Semi-Annual for the Transfer Station and _ <br /> Groundwater Monitoring <br /> waste receiving scales. <br /> ✓Landfill Groundwater <br /> Contamination Remediation <br /> ✓C&D Landfill Closure and CQA Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Transfer Station Rehabilitation <br /> Services and Improvements. SCS staff designed and managed County's <br /> ✓Solid Waste Program Transfer Station rehabilitation and improvements. Project <br /> Operational Assistance included development of system for resurfacing Transfer <br /> ✓ Solid Waste and Environmental Station floor and the addition of structural steel components for <br /> Permitting tipping floor edge and hopper. <br /> ✓ Designed closure cover system <br /> that minimized infiltration of County 10-year Solid Waste Management Plan — 3 Year <br /> precipitation into the underlying Updates. SCS's Charlotte office staff has assisted the County <br /> non-Subtitle D MSW Landfill <br /> ,/Developed construction placement in preparing their 2006 and 2009 Solid Waste Management <br /> procedure for the closure cover Plan (SWMP) — 3 year updates as part of their 10-year Solid <br /> system soil component to be able Waste Management Plan required by North Carolina General <br /> .:?_ Statute 130A-309A(b). The SWMP is a reporting and planning <br /> tool used by the County and State to outline the current and <br /> future solid waste management and recycling programs for the <br /> ii4( cOL�j = County.
