We currently <br /> provide ongoing, long-term operation and maintenance services at over 170 active LFG systems. <br /> SCS-FS provides comprehensive post-closure care (groundwater monitoring, leachate system <br /> monitors and maintains an additional 50 passive LFG migration control systems. <br /> SCS Engineers is qualified to conduct work as contractors in the State of North Carolina. <br /> Data Services <br /> SCS uses state-of-the-art data collection methodologies to provide clients with up-to-date and <br /> secure data to facilitate decisions on environmental control systems management. In 2002 SCS <br /> launched an interne based program, SCS Data Services, to help manage landfill monitoring data, <br /> project documents, and tasks. Currently, over 300 sites are managed by SCS Data Services <br /> across the United States. The web accessible server is located in a financial data approved data- <br /> safe facility. The centerpiece of the system is a site specific database that accepts and stores <br /> electronic data uploaded from field monitoring instruments, such as the Landtec GEM-2000'`. <br /> SCS ENERGY <br /> SCS Energy is an operating division within Stearns, Conrad& Schmidt Consulting Engineers, <br /> Inc. SCS Energy is responsible for the design, construction and operation/maintenance of LFGE <br /> facilities and other types of small power plants. SCS Energy has completed or has underway the <br /> design of 26 biogas fueled power plants. The power plants are fueled on landfill gas or digester <br /> gas and employ reciprocating engines, combustion turbines, microturbines or fuel cells. The <br /> aggregated capacity of these 26 power plants is 55 MW. SCS Energy has constructed 20 of these <br /> 26 facilities on a design/construct basis. The capacity of these plants totals 42 MW. SCS <br /> currently operates 11 LFG fueled power plants with a total capacity of 27.8 MW.
