Through successful management of the County's <br /> program and proactive attention to environmental impacts and protection of nearby residents,the County has <br /> developed an excellent relationship with the Virginia DEQ, and has resulted in significant cost savings. Services <br /> have included: <br /> • Development of the groundwater monitoring programs for all five landfills <br /> • Alternate source demonstrations for several facilities and constituents <br /> • Nature and extent studies <br /> • Assessment of corrective measures, and development of corrective action plans <br /> • Strategically placed active remediation system - successful.
