Year-To-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget and grant ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2016-17. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> County Manager's Office <br /> 1. The Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness has received notification from <br /> the Triangle Community Foundation of a sponsorship award of $1,000. These funds <br /> will be used to help supplement community donations related to items distributed to <br /> people experiencing homelessness during the Point-in-Time street count in January, <br /> and for an upcoming event publicizing the results of the street count and raising <br /> awareness about homelessness. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of <br /> these funds. (See Attachment 1, column 1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br /> applicable to this agenda item: <br /> • GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br /> The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br /> gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br /> AND INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br /> origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br /> or economic status. <br />
