He said in the university environments there will be no new lanes <br /> 41 built. <br /> 42 Commissioner Rich asked if lanes would be crunched where cars would usually drive. <br /> 43 Brian Litchfield said each of the options have different pieces to them, and he walked <br /> 44 the Board through this slide. He said in the Southern Village area there would be dedicated <br /> 45 curb lanes that would be constructed, while the area near UNC Hospital would use exiting <br /> 46 infrastructure. He said in the down town area from Franklin Street through Estes, there will be <br /> 47 a dedicated curb lane, which would use an existing lane as a dedicated bus lane. He said <br /> 48 each scenario is fluid and can be mixed, matched, and moved around. <br /> 49 Commissioner McKee said his concern is for downtown Chapel Hill, and asked if there <br /> 50 will be only one car lane, since the other one would be used for BRT. <br />
