The attached Town of Chapel Hill Fire Department Use Agreement For <br /> 3 Emergency Medical Services Substation has been reviewed by all parties including the Town <br /> 4 and County Attorneys. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Kim Woodard recognized Chapel Hill Fire Chief Matt Sullivan and Deputy Chief Matt <br /> 7 Lawrence. <br /> 8 Kim Woodard made the following PowerPoint presentation: <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Hamilton Rd. Fire/EMS Station <br /> 11 BOCC —Tryon Rd <br /> 12 December 13, 2016 <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Purpose <br /> 15 For the Board of Orange County Commissioners to: <br /> 16 Approve the Town of Chapel Hill Use Agreement For the co-located Emergency Medical <br /> 17 Services Substation; Authorize the County Manager to execute the Agreement; and Authorize <br /> 18 the County Manager to direct the transfer of appropriated funds to the Town at the appropriate <br /> 19 time in accordance with the Agreement. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Project Details <br /> 22 • Use agreement between Orange County and the Town of Chapel Hill <br /> 23 • County contributes $520,000 for Emergency Medical Services use of one bay, sleeping <br /> 24 quarters, parking spaces and shared access to other living quarters in the new station <br /> 25 • Use agreement term is for a minimum of twenty years <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Chapel Hill (CHFD) - photo <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Fire Station 2-photo <br /> 30 <br /> 31 Future Fire/EMS Station- photo <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Future Fire/EMS Station-photo <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Project Timeline <br /> 36 • Final Town Council approval Sep. 12, 2016 <br /> 37 • Inter-local agreement pending Dec. 2016 <br /> 38 • Chapel Hill Fire moves to temp fire station mid to late Dec. 2016 <br /> 39 • Emergency Services Medic Three remains in Odum Village until project completion <br /> 40 • Demolition of existing Station Two Dec./Jan. 2016 <br /> 41 • One Year construction (complete Jan 2018) <br /> 42 • Medic Three transitions to the new station with Chapel Hill Fire <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Manager's Recommendations: <br /> 45 That the BOCC: <br /> 46 1.
