9 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Commissioner Price referred to food services being prohibited on page 56, and asked if <br /> 3 something like Caribou Coffee would be allowed in the EDD. <br /> 4 Perdita Holtz said this could not be a stand-alone building, but would need to be part a <br /> 5 site plan. <br /> 6 Chris Cole asked if he could be notified by email, because he was not for this meeting. <br /> 7 Staff said yes. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 b. Zoning Atlas Amendment— Hillsborough Economic Development District <br /> 10 The Board opened a continued public hearing and considered action on government- <br /> 11 initiated amendments to the Zoning Atlas involving five parcels south of Interstate 40 in the <br /> 12 vicinity of Old Highway 86 and adjacent interstate right-of-way. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 A motion was made by Commissioner Dorosin, seconded by Commissioner Price to <br /> 15 continue this public hearing to the December 5th meeting. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 18 <br /> 19 6. Minutes <br /> 33 The Board approved the minutes from September 15, 2016 as submitted by the Clerk to the <br /> 34 Board. <br /> 35 b. Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> 36 The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release motor <br /> 37 vehicle property tax values for two taxpayers with a total of two bills that will result in a <br /> 38 reduction of revenue in accordance with NCGS. <br /> 39 c. Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> 40 The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release property tax <br /> 41 values for five taxpayers with a total of eleven bills that will result in a reduction of revenue <br /> 42 in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 105-381. <br /> 43 d. Applications for Property Tax Exemption/Exclusion <br /> 44 The Board considered nine untimely applications for exemption/exclusion from ad valorem <br /> 45 taxation for nine bills for the 2016 tax year. <br /> 46 e. Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Amendment Outline Form and Schedule for <br /> 47 Proposed Text Amendment—Tables of Permitted Uses <br /> 48 The Board approved revised process components and schedules for a Planning Director <br /> 49 initiated Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) text amendment. <br />
