Provide a brief description of the This grant will fund one half of$65,000 Client Requested <br /> plan/project: Operations Purchase (CROP) Fund. Each ADFP grant dollar must <br /> be matched with another funding source for the purpose of <br /> purchsing NC grown products to be used be PFAP clients. The <br /> fund will provide short-term cash flow assistance to our clients, <br /> allowing them to defer payment on specialized services, <br /> installation fees on new equipment,or consulting services during <br /> their production season. Clients will then re-pay the fund as their <br /> product is sold after production season. Only eligible businesses- <br /> -are those that that purchase NC-grown produce .Through this <br /> CROP Fund, PFAP and its clients will become stronger partners of <br /> NC farms. The acquisition of NC Locally grown products assits in <br /> diversifing potential farm marketing channels.The more <br /> successful NC farms become,the more farmland is preserved as <br /> farms grow and the farms become more profitable. <br /> List specific outcomes to be achieved: • Increased purchasing of local produce by used by ADFP <br /> Cleints <br /> • Increase produce sales for 10 local farms <br /> • Add 3 new PFAP clients that buy from local farms <br /> • Increase the success rates and purchasing power of PFAP <br /> Clients be 50% <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br />
