D <br /> 111 7 <br /> Presentation by Emily Crudup. <br /> This proposal would provide adequate time for <br /> staff review of major subdivision Concept <br /> Plans . <br /> The Subdivision Regulations require that <br /> Concept Plans for Major Subdivisions be <br /> presented to the Planning Board within 45 <br /> days of acceptance of the application. This <br /> time limit does not always allow sufficient <br /> time for staff review and preparation of a <br /> report to the Planning Board. <br /> The proposal presented at public hearing on <br /> February 26 included a minimum time period of <br /> 30 days between project submittal and its <br /> presentation to the Planning Board. <br /> The Board of Commissioners as well as several <br /> citizens were opposed to amendments which <br /> would increase time involved in processing <br /> major subdivisions. <br /> To address these concerns, the Planning Staff <br /> proposes that the amendment be modified to <br /> require that the Planning Department complete <br /> its review of the Concept Plan within 21 <br /> days after it is accepted. The <br /> recommendation to the Planning Board would be <br /> presented at the first regularly scheduled <br /> Planning Board meeting after the 21 days. <br /> The effect of the proposal would be to move <br /> the application deadline back by four days. <br /> The Planning Staff recommends approval of the <br /> proposed amendment. <br /> Crudup continued that most applicants meet <br /> with the Planning Staff prior to submitting <br /> concept plans . This contact usually provides <br /> the applicant with any additional information <br /> needed for a concept plan to be accepted. <br /> Best expressed concern that the proposal <br /> presented at public hearing was thirty days <br /> rather than twenty-one which would require <br /> another public hearing.
