Box 336 <br /> Carrboro, NC 27510 <br /> Dear Verla: <br /> At the Orange County Board of Commissioners Meeting on <br /> Monday, April 2, the Commissioners adopted a motion that <br /> requests the Orange Water and Sewer Authority to include <br /> funding in their 1990-91 budget and subsequent budgets for <br /> acquisition of land. The purpose of this acquisition of land <br /> would be to reduce future pollutant loading potential within <br /> the University Lake Watershed. <br /> In addition, the Board of Commissioners adopted a motion <br /> that calls for OWASA to include funding in their 1990-91 <br /> budget sufficient to authorize a study to determine the <br /> extent of watershed protection needed for the Cane Creek <br /> Watershed. <br /> On behalf of the Orange County Board of Commissioners, I <br /> would appreciate the OWASA Board of Directors consideration <br /> of these requests. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> Moses Carey, Jr. , Chair <br /> Board of Commissioners <br /> cc: Board of Commissioners <br /> Everett Billingsley <br /> John Link <br />
