z <br /> 3 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SCRAP TIRE DISPOSAL FEE <br /> A Resolution authorizing the Landfill Owners Group <br /> through the Chapel Hill Town Manager to assess a scrap tire <br /> disposal fee of $1 per tire that allows the Orange Regional <br /> Landfill to fully comply with the provisions of the North <br /> Carolina Scrap Tire Disposal Act. <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Orange supports the provisions of <br /> the North Carolina Scrap Tire Disposal Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Landfill Owners Group <br /> to collect and dispose of scrap tires in an environmentally <br /> sound fashion; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Orange County <br /> Board of Commissioners that the Landfill Owners Group through <br /> the Chapel Hill Town Manager is authorized to implement the <br /> scrap tire disposal fee of $1 per tire and to begin <br /> collection of fees upon proper notice to the citizens of <br /> Orange County. <br /> This is the day of , 1990. <br /> Moses Carey, Jr. , Chair <br />
