Smith Reynolds Foundation <br /> agreed to pro4ge :.$20,000 in grant funds to Community <br /> Housing Alterha? s,, a non-profit housing <br /> development corporation. As this volunteer agency <br /> has no paid staff or accounting capability, the Board <br /> of Commissioners approved an agreement for Orange <br /> County to act as grant recipient and to provide <br /> accounting services for the grant for FY 1989-90. <br /> The County has no other obligation under this <br /> arrangement. This amendment appropriates those grant <br /> funds for use by Community Housing Alternatives. <br /> (6) Reserve funds from the Section 8 housing program <br /> in the amount of $85, 000 are transferred to the <br /> General Fund for housing related purposes by another <br /> budget amendment. This amendment reduces required <br /> General Fund appropriations for housing related <br /> purposes and reduces the amount of appropriated fund <br /> balance required in the General Fund by corresponding <br /> amounts. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : Approve amendments to the 1989--90 Budget Ordinance <br /> by the proposed amendments. <br />
