Department of Transportation (DOT) : <br /> Blake Norwood, Systems Planning Engineer <br /> Danny Rogers, Planning Engineer <br /> Wilson Stroud, Special Projects Planner <br /> Hillsborough: <br /> Phillip Whitaker, Town Manager <br /> Janet Rigsbee, Planning Director <br /> Bill Crowther, Planning Board Chair <br /> John Link called the meeting to order at approximately <br /> 9 : 10 AM and stated that the purpose was to promote greater <br /> coordination on transportation matters among the parties <br /> represented. He announced the following topics for <br /> discussion: <br /> 1 . The status of 1-85 widening and the proposed diamond <br /> interchanges at US 70 and 1-85 in Efland and impacts <br /> on Seven Mile Creek and economic development; <br /> 2 . the status of area thoroughfare plans and the <br /> process for adopting and amending them; and <br /> 3 . scheduling of thoroughfare plan adoption. <br /> Following this, everyone in attendance introduced <br /> themselves and stated their reason for attendance. <br /> Discussion then proceeded on a topic-by-topic basis . <br />
