Reference was made to an EIA done in <br /> 1984 in anticipation of I-85 widening. <br /> The Transportation Advisory Subcommittee (TAS) met on <br /> October 17 and discussed concerns related to transpor- <br /> tation improvements in the Efland area and the need for <br /> greater coordination with NCDOT. These concerns were <br /> expressed in the October 19 memo to the County Manager. <br /> This resulted in a meeting of County officials and <br /> NCDOT representatives on November 7 . At the meeting, <br /> NCDOT officials stated that a revised EIA was being <br /> done. County officials requested that a copy of the <br /> revised EIA be made available for County comment. <br /> At a subsequent meeting of the TAS held on December <br /> 13, there was additional discussion on the Efland <br /> interchanges, in particular, the proposed elimination <br /> of the I-85 overpass over West Ten Road. The TAS <br /> requested that pedestrian access under I-85 be <br /> maintained as part of the interchange improvements . <br /> This was expressed in the December 18 memo from Gene <br /> Bell to John Link. <br /> The revised EIA was received by the County Manager' s <br /> office on December 19 , 1989 .
