3 <br /> ARTICLE I <br /> 2.5 Temporary employees are exempt from the following: <br /> Article II Section 5, 7, and 8; Article VI; and Article <br /> VIII. Temporary employees are also exempt from Article <br /> IV Employee Benefits, with the exception of: Worker's <br /> Compensation, Civil Leave, Administrative Leave and <br /> Social Security. <br /> 4.11 Employee Inquiry Card - a card which individuals may file <br /> with the Personnel Department requesting to be notified <br /> when applications are being accepted for a specific <br /> position. <br /> 4.13 Flexible Work Schedule - Departments may elect to use a <br /> flexible work schedule to consist of a pre-determined <br /> schedule of nine consecutive hours between 7:30am and <br /> 6:00pm, with one hour for lunch, Monday through Friday. <br /> 4.16 Immediate Family - wife, husband, father, mother, <br /> daughter, son, grandparent or grandchildren (also <br /> included are step, foster, or in-law relationships) <br /> boyfriend, girlfriend and those living in the same <br /> household. <br /> 4.27 Permanent Employee - a person appointed to a position <br /> which has been approved by the Board of Commissioners and <br /> has the full County benefits package. The employee also <br /> has completed a probationary period. <br /> 4.30 Probationary Period - a period of time (usually six <br /> months) at the beginning of employment of a permanent <br /> employee, used to evaluate the employee's suitability for <br /> continued permanent <br /> employment. <br /> 4.32 Reclassification - the reassignment of an existing <br />
