Amendments are proposed for the following <br /> reasons: <br /> Article I; This article has been re-edited for clarification and <br /> accuracy in meaning. The revised sections are <br /> attached, and all of section 4.0 has been re- <br /> numbered. <br /> Article II, 3.0 The definition of immediate family has been <br /> broadened to include persons historically not <br /> included in a nuclear family. Like other employers <br /> in the RTP area, Orange County is making this change <br /> to accommodate the increase in the number of non- <br /> traditional families. <br /> Article III, 1 . 3 The establishment of a "Flex-time" option in the <br /> County will allow Department Heads to be able to <br /> respond to employees special needs for alternative <br /> work schedules. <br />
