We have made a decision based on our
own observations and advice from foresters and arborist that the street
trees on Churton Street west of the Old Courthouse should be removed.
These trees are in a serious state of decline and present a real safety
hazard to pedestrians, vehicles and power lines.
The elm on the corner of King and Churton Street and the large
Water Oak are extremely dangerous.
We have a copy of the letter sent to you by M. B. Kunselman dated
1/16/90 and are in complete agreement with his recommendations.
Sincerely,
Minerva Kenyon, Chairman
Hillsborough Tree Board
