Amend Article 4 by adding a new Article 4.2 . 30 University Lake <br /> Watershed (ULW) District to read as follows: <br /> a. Intent <br /> The purpose of the University Lake Watershed (ULW) District <br /> is to prevent significant future water quality deterioration <br /> in University Lake, a reservoir supplying drinking water to <br /> the people of southeastern Orange County. Based on a study <br /> entitled Final Report - University Lake Watershed Study and <br /> dated March, 1989, the lake already exhibits some water <br /> quality deterioration. Unless additional protective actions <br /> are taken, University Lake is vulnerable to additional <br /> pollution from eutrophication (nutrient enrichment) , <br /> toxicants, and sedimentation. <br />
