This portion of <br /> the General Statutes includes the purposes for which a <br /> public body may hold an executive session and exclude <br /> the public. <br /> The proposed amendment reflects an existing state law, <br /> and is not a substantive change to the Ordinance, It <br /> will, however, provide for a specific reference to the <br /> General Statutes in the event that the appropriateness <br /> or legality of an executive session is questioned. <br /> EXISTING ORDINANCE PROVISIONS: <br /> 2 .3.3.2 All meetings of the Board shall be open to the <br /> public and the Board shall be given as required by <br /> Chapter 143 Article 33-C of the North Carolina <br /> Statutes G.S. 143 318. 11ET.SEQ. , as amended. <br /> PROPOSED AMENDMENT: <br /> 2.3.3.2 All meetings of the Board shall be conducted in <br /> compliance with the North Carolina Open Meetings <br />
