S <br /> 2. STEPS FOR ENSURING GOOD FAITH EFFORT FOR VERIFIABLE GOALS UNDER <br /> SINGLE PRIME CONTRACTS: <br /> A. Furnish all prospective bidders with names of contractors, <br /> subcontractors and suppliers on the County's Minority Business <br /> Vendor File. <br /> B. Obtain documented assurance (affidavit ) that the single prime <br /> contractor has solicited bids from minority contractors. <br /> C. Obtain documentation from contractors relating to responses to <br /> bid requests by minority subcontractors. Contractors will <br /> provide the following: <br /> 1 . Those subcontractors who were contacted; with minority <br /> • contractors identified. <br /> 2. Those subcontractors who responded and which ones <br /> submitted bids; with minority contractors identified. <br /> 3. Those subcontractors to whom contracts were awarded; <br /> with minority contractors identified. <br /> D. Periodically contact random minority contractors to <br /> substantiate the contractors documentation. <br /> E. Hold pre-bid conferences to orient contractors with Orange <br /> County's policy's and percentage goals and documentation <br /> requirements. <br /> 3 . MONITORING OF CONTRACT SYSTEMS; <br /> A. Complete all necessary forms as supplied by the State Building <br /> Commission for all single prime or separate prime contracts <br /> let. And, forward a copy to The North Carolina Assosciation <br /> of County Commissioners. <br />
