PAGE 3 <br /> GRANT PROJECT ORDINANCE <br /> FRIENDS OF BLACK CHILDREN PROGRAM <br /> Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Orange County, North Carolina that, <br /> pursuant to Section. 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the <br /> ordinance adopting the "Friends of Black Children Program" is hereby amended as follows: <br /> Section 1. Section 3 of the above mentioned ordinance is amended to read as follows: <br /> Intergovernmental - Friends of Black Children $ 32,594 <br /> Section 2. Section 4 of the above mentioned ordinance is amended to read as follows: <br /> Human Services - Friends of Black Children $ 32,594 <br /> D. JAIL IMPROVEMENTS CAPITAL PROJECT ORDINANCE <br /> Approve the capital project ordinance as stated below to appropriate Federal <br /> grant funds for the Jail Improvements Capital Project. <br /> JAIL IMPROVEMENTS <br /> CAPITAL PROJECT ORDINANCE <br /> Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners that pursuant to Section 13.2 of Chapter <br /> 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina the following capital project is hereby <br /> adopted. <br /> Section 1. The project authorized will provide improvements to and expanded capacity <br /> at the Orange County Jail. The project will be financed by an <br /> appropriation from the County Capital Reserve Fund and federal grant <br /> funds. <br /> Section 2. The officers of the County are hereby directed to proceed with the project <br /> within the budget contained herein. <br /> Section 3. the following revenue is anticipated to complete this project: <br /> Transfer from County Capital $382,000 <br /> Reserve Fund 221,825 <br /> Intergovernmental <br /> Total Revenue $603,825 <br /> Section 4. The following amount is appropriated for this project: <br /> Jail Improvements $603,825 <br /> Section 5. This ordinance supersedes all previous Jail Improvements Capital Project <br /> ordinances. <br /> E. RESOLUTION TO APPLY FOR UMTA SECTION 18 TRANSPORTATION FUNDS <br /> To approve and authorize the Chair to sign a resolution to apply for UMTA <br /> Section 18 funding with the North Carolina Department of Transportation for replacement <br /> of one van in the Orange County C.A.T. Program. The resolution is stated below: <br />
