The terms of the
agreement are included in a Cooperative Agreement Program, CAP No.
6-57-84.
The project includes $382, 000 in County pay-as-you-go funds
already appropriated to the project. As written, the CAP includes a
pledge of $200,000 in federal funds towards the project on a
reimbursement basis. Finally, the Sheriff's Office has also received
verbal assurance that the USMS will provide an additional $21,825 in
grant funds to cover the remaining cost of construction contracts for
the project. At the December 4, 1989 meeting, the Board of
Commissioners approved construction contracts in the amount of
$548,932, which combined with architect fees of $54,893, brings
anticipated project costs to $603,825.
Adoption of this capital project ordinance will provide for
budgeted expenditures of $603,825 and offsetting revenues of $382,000
in County funding and $221, 825 in federal funding.
RECOMMENDATION(S) :
Approve the proposed capital project ordinance.
