The hearing was proposed as part of the work <br /> schedule developed by the University Lake Watershed <br /> Work Group. <br /> The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment <br /> on proposed amendments to the Joint Planning Area Land <br /> Use Plan and Agreement, and the Orange County <br /> Comprehensive Plan, Zoning Ordinance, and Subdivision <br /> Regulations . The amendments, if adopted, would <br /> implement strategies for the protection of <br /> University Lake watershed. <br /> On February 15, 1990, the University Lake Watershed <br /> Work Group met to review the specific proposals <br /> developed by Orange County. The Work Group agreed with <br /> the need to present a range of options for protection <br /> of the watershed, including land use (five-acre zoning) <br /> as well as structural (two-acre zoning with stormwater <br /> detention ponds) controls. In order to insure that all <br /> options were covered, the Work Group requested that <br /> additional wording to included to address the <br /> following: <br />
