Informational report to the Board regarding activities and goals of the Arts Commission. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Orange County Arts Commission was created by a resolution from the Board of County <br /> Commissioners on February 4, 1985. The Arts Commission is the official county-wide advisory <br /> body on the arts. Its, primary goals are: (1) to serve as the Local Distributing Agent of <br /> State grassroots grant funds for Orange County; (2) serve as a "clearing house" for <br /> information on the arts; (3) facilitate the development of self-sustaining arts programs; <br /> and (4) advise the Board of County Commissioners on matters involving the arts. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : <br /> Receive as information only. <br />
