Tomlin <br /> Child Day Care Section Chief <br /> DATE: October 30, 1989 <br /> Re: Child Day Care Funding Authorization For SFY 89-90 <br /> This memo describes your county' s new funding authorization for SFY <br /> 89-90 which includes your initial allocation plus a reallocated <br /> amount based on your request and the available funds. <br /> Your reallocation was reduced by a proportionate amount based on the <br /> expectation that the Gramm-Rudman-Hollings Deficit Reduction Law will <br /> cause a reduction in North Carolina' s Social Services Block Grant. <br /> If the reduction does not occur, you will get an additional <br /> reallocation at a later date. We felt that we needed to get this <br /> reallocation out instead of waiting for the Gramm-Rudman decision to <br /> be made. <br /> Using your revised allocation, please complete Form DFS-0342C, which <br /> is also enclosed. This form is designed to allow you to make <br /> projections on your expenditure pattern throughout the four quarters <br /> of the year. Please enter your actual first quarter expenditure <br /> since that is already known to you. <br /> By providing the Child Day Care Section with accurate projections, <br /> your county can be assured that money will not be involuntarily <br /> reverted because your spending pattern does not match projections . <br /> Without your projections, we can only assume that your county spends <br /> its allocation in four equal portions . Also, please indicate on the <br /> form how many children you will now be able to serve within each of <br /> the target populations.
